Biography

Kevin is a French scientist with dual training in pharmaceutical sciences (Pharm.D.) and structural biology (Ph.D.). He earned his Ph.D. at the Center for Structural Biology (CBS) in Montpellier, France, in collaboration with the clinical-stage company Abivax, where he used cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to uncover how small molecules modulate RNA biogenesis and inflammation. He then moved to Caltech in California as a postdoctoral researcher in the Nelson Lab, advancing cryo-EM approaches to investigate the catalysis mechanism of oleate hydratase. In October 2025, he joined the Wittung-Stafshede Research group as a postdoctoral fellow. His focus is to bring cryo-EM expertise into the group and make possible solving high-resolution structures of our various amyloids. During his spare time, he enjoys traveling, working out, and creative design projects.

Thesis title: Structural Characterization of the Cap-Binding Complex (CBC) in Interaction with Molecules of Pharmaceutical Interest.
